"Black Sea Rama" S.A. is going to build more golf courses in Bulgaria, as well as in other Balkan countries. This was announced by the executive manager of the company at the opening of the first 9 holes of the golf complex near Balchik.
According to his information, there are investments worth 103-million euro, planned for the complex in Balchik, and one fifth of it has already been put into the building process. His expectations are that the recoverability of the investment will begin after the fifth year of the estate exploitation.
All 60 houses in the complex have already been sold, and the price per sq.m. of build-up area reached 4 000 euro. Half of the properties are purchased by Bulgarians. Other owners of such houses are Russians, Romanians and British.
A decrease of interest in the properties of the golf complex because of the vast building of holiday villas at the Black sea coast is not expected, because the potential clients of the complex are different from the second home buyers.
The golf course near Balchik is the first one in Bulgaria, which is built correspondingly to the world championship requirements. Its designer is the South African golf legend Garry Player. However, the place for practicing the aristocratic sport at the Black sea coast, are extremely few.
